INTERN: CREATIVE DIRECTOR/DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Tribe Federation is looking for a part-time Intern available 2-5 days per week to help with multiple creative projects under our Creative Directors. Please note that this is an unpaid 2-3 month internship with possible room for hire at the end depending on your performance. This internship will be compensated with credit & portfolio work.

This position is perfect for a passionate, highly detail oriented, creative and driven person, who is willing to go the extra mile, get their hands dirty, and who is hungry to learn and understand the industry from the inside out.

A perfect opportunity for someone looking to develop experience in the creative direction, development and production side of commercial and television industry.

Intern will help to ensure all visual assets and brand touch-points are consistent, beautiful, delivered on-time, and reflect our point of view. Intern help with leading an in-house creative department of design to translate the overall business objectives into a compelling brand experience. He/she will be responsible for the creative strategy, idea generation and execution across all channels of our projects. The ideal candidate is collaborative, data and results-driven, scrappy, and versatile and will thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.

 

Creative Development handles the creation of digital and linear projects from initial pitch to completion in post production. This could include commercial, scripted, unscripted series, specials, docs and short form. It consists of working with creative directors, writers, graphic designers, producers, and editors to create content that utilizes new storytelling formats and new production models.

Requirements:

• Experience in the fashion/entertainment industry is preferred but not required.

• Excellent copy writing; close attention to detail, perfect grammar and strong editing skills.

• Extensive internet research required; solid knowledge of search engines including Google images, vimeo, youtube, Pinterest, stock photo sites, etc.

• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Great with social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).

• Archiving photographs/videos

• Must have a professional demeanor and be well-spoken.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to form productive working relationships.

• Ability to think outside of the box and brainstorm creative ideas that will drive engagement and interaction.

• Must know your way around a PC & MAC

• Must have a laptop.

• Must have a reliable source of transportation.

• Must be reliable and punctual.

Software Knowledge:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including online Microsoft 365, Word and Excel.

• Proficiency with Adobe Software, including InDesign, Basic Photoshop, Basic Lightroom, Basic Illustrator

• IDEAL BUT NOT REQUIRED: Proficiency with Premiere

 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver innovative and beautiful design directions and solutions that elevate the brand

• Guide the creative development and execution for brand identity, voice, and messaging across all aspects of the brand experience including all channels and media vehicles

• Organize, source and plan the creative process to ensure the highest quality assets are produced for pitch decks, website, printed materials, and campaigns

• Provide creative direction to creative team for various projects

• Work closely with our Chief Digital Officer on the visual look and feel as well as front-end design of website and social media

• Build and inspire our creative team

• Collaborate with key team members to set the strategy of how to enhance the company and bring all projects to life and use this strategy to guide the priorities and creativity of the TRIBE team

INTERN: COMMERCIAL/TELEVISION EDITOR

At TRIBE, we are on our next round of hiring interns for a Part-Time Video Editor who can organize, manage, and edit various creative commercial & unscripted projects for final delivery to clients & pitching to networks. Please note that this is an unpaid 2-3 month internship with possible room for hire at the end depending on your performance. This internship will be compensated with credit & portfolio work. The hours will vary depending on projects and availability, the hours are flexible and you will work in our studio as well as at home.

TRIBE Federation is a team of artists attacking our passions in the commercial & unscripted television world. As a full creative agency, production and post production company, our strengths are in our creative development, style of filming and experimental post production. We work closely with various commercial clients, production companies, and celebrities in the fashion, editorial, product and music industry. We also develop and produce unscripted television and work closely with television networks.

The ideal candidate is at least semi-fluent in Adobe Premiere and hungry to learn what it takes to create professional content with a world-class team. Some of the work includes online research, gathering and organizing assets, stringing out selects, creating b-roll packages, possibly creating initial rough cuts and everything in between.

This individual will be driven, self-sufficient, and ambitious to attack all types of edits. One who embraces challenge with enthusiasm and proactivity, possesses a creative spirit, is resourceful, has a passion for edgy and hip video content and graphics and truly believes that no job is too big nor too small.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere; After Effects is not required but preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including online Microsoft 365, Word and Excel.

• Extensive internet research required; solid knowledge of search engines including Google images, vimeo, youtube, Pinterest, stock photo sites, etc.

• Creative eye for assisting in creation of multiple video projects in short timeline

• Vast knowledge of - and passion for - impressive video content (this is a must)

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus, but not required – Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Lightroom

• Basic understanding of digital marketing a plus

• Passion for relevant culture; knowledge of current trends in music and pop culture a plus.

• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Great with social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).

• Archiving photographs/videos

• Must have a professional demeanor and be well-spoken.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to form productive working relationships.

The role includes finding video/photo sources for pitch decks, prepping & organizing post production projects, editing in premiere a range of videos including: full campaign videos, editorials, sizzles, social media clips, gifs, etc.
